With increased coverage, the cost of medical services will increase. A prescription may be required when visiting a specialist. POS is more expensive than HMO but cheaper than PPO.

Preferred Provider Organization is commonly known as PPO. This is an enhancement beyond Part A and Part B that offer basic coverage. It is arguably the most expensive plan in its range. When visiting a specialist, you are not mandated to have a referral. Further, though its monthly payments and premiums are high, you will pay less out of pocket for most conditions.
