Asking your project to be completely funded can be hard when this is your first proposal ever. So, let the listed tips guide you in making your proposal a comprehensive one. That is all you need for you to provide the entire board with a new perspective. They may be traditional but that is just because they are protecting their investment.

Every estimate needs to come with an accurate calculation. Also, stop fearing that this will put your Capex request to waste. On the contrary, when you openly say that this will be an expensive venture, you already have the attention of everybody with your boldness. That is when you can show them the high level of profit in return.

Be brief in describing how you have come up with your business plan. Describe the motivating factor which lead you to believe that this is a necessity to world nowadays. Again, let your request serve as a glimpse of your vision to the board and that can persuade them to give you a chance and be lenient with your future adjustments.

A plan B needs to be formed as well since you are talking to cautious businessmen in here. When you appeal to most of their fears, they will have all the reason to sign the approval. So, learn to manage the skeptics and highlight the facts which can strengthen the theory that the suggested project will not fail and become the newest trend in the market.

Have a complete list of the costs and outline how they are going to benefit the entire project. Again, it is important for you to describe to these people what is about to go on. When you show to them that every part of your plan is crucial, they shall be more receptive with your crazy idea and begin with the implementation.

Be honest with the risks. Again, the only way to win these individuals is for you to be transparent with the things which they will find out in the long run. In giving them the heads up, you are actually making the project more exciting for them. Thus, just have all the confidence in convincing them to take that first step with you.

Get some stakeholders to sign the proposal before the meeting. When the other members see that some of their friends went ahead without their consultation, their ego will drive them into the same paper as well. In business, you just need to know more about people.

A list of assumptions will be the next thing in your agenda. However, take note that this is just part of what is professionally required from you. Once you already got the entire board to sign up, your project will be on the way.

What is important is that you are willing to defend your proposal until it gets the approval. If this has solely been your idea, then just be motivated by the fact that you will get all the recognition in the end. Believe in your creative idea and everyone else would follow suit along the way.
